It’s safe to say Darren Shick, Seiler’s Landscaping’s sales and design professional, has always had a green thumb. A native of Tipp City, Ohio, Darren attended the University of Cincinnati originally to study physical therapy but found his calling was in horticulture and graduated with a botany degree with a focus in rare plant propagation and conservation.

Darren taught college horticulture classes and landscape design after graduating from UC. Now he oversees residential landscaping design and sales for Seiler’s, creating beautiful environments and outdoor living spaces for our clients. He creates the overall design concept and also pays attention to all the finishing touches.

Always striving for excellence, Darren enjoys delivering each client’s vision from design to implementation on the site. Meeting his high personal standards and his client’s goals is what makes Darren’s work so rewarding for him.

When he’s not choosing plants and plotting landscapes, Darren loves to DJ and is an avid vinyl collector. In fact, DJing helped Darren pay his way through college. He’s also a season ticket holder for the University of Cincinnati’s men’s basketball team. He and his wife have a 3-year-old daughter.
